Daniel ZuccaroPurchasing Manager |
Value Delivered
Through his oversight of Dynalectric’s procurement, change order and materials management processes, Daniel helps provide the consistently high-quality electrical systems and equipment required for high-performance facility operation and maintenance. His responsibilities include managing all lighting, switchgear and commodities purchases; establishing and maintaining subcontract agreements with key fire alarm and low-voltage vendors; and collaborating with the pre-construction group to incorporate labor-saving products into design/build electrical construction projects. While working closely with the estimating and accounting departments as well as project managers, he uses his outstanding leadership and organizational skills to help deliver projects that meet the highest standards of excellence and value.
Expertise
Daniel joined EMCOR in 2004 as a special projects coordinator. In this role, he supervised the restructuring of Dynalectric’s procurement, job cost, and estimating systems and policies. In addition, he directed material procurement programs and drafted new procurement terms for commodities buyouts. He became Purchasing Manager in the fall of 2006.
Before coming to EMCOR, Daniel spent three years as a purchasing consultant and project coordinator. He also worked with a specialty hardware, tools and materials supplier, coordinating the tool repair process with factory authorized repair centers, and overseeing quarterly and annual pricing for key contractors. This experience has given him a solid understanding of the vendor community, and the quality and reliability of the products, systems and services they provide. Consequently, he has established strong vendor relationships and developed procurement strategies that make him a critical member of Dynalectric’s project teams.
Daniel holds a Bachelor of Science degree from San Jose State University and a Doctor of Jurisprudence degree from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law.
The Personal Side
Daniel is an active participant in his community, where he has led a fundraising team for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, and serves as a mentor in the ACE (architecture, construction, engineering) program, helping to encourage area high school students to pursue careers in the construction industry. He also enjoys distance running and cycling.
